FOR er et politisk parti. De største grusomheter, tap av liv, undertrykkelser og nedverdigelser skjer under krig. Derfor har FOR kampen mot krig som hovedformål.
FOR er basert på den internasjonale arbeiderbevegelsens idegrunnlag som fremmer de undertryktes perspektiv, solidaritet, likeverd og kampen mot krig.
Sammen med hovedformålet har derfor FOR følgende kampsaker:
1. FOR utfordrer oppfatningen som vi får servert når Norge og Nato går til krig. FOR setter norsk og vestlig krigsdeltakelse i fokus, utfordrer de norske og vestlige medienes framstilling av krig og målbærer i stedet vårt ansvar for krigene. Krig fører ikke bare til tusenvis av drepte soldater og sivile. Krigens materielle ødeleggelse og bortfallet av utviklingsmuligheter fører til fattigdom og nød. FOR sitt antikrigsarbeid skal lede til nedrustning, avspenning, gjensidig sikkerhet og forsoning uten militære blokker.
2. FOR stiller seg bak formålet med Nobels fredspris. Norge skal som fredsnasjon opptre i fredsprisens ånd, ikke bare dele den ut. Norge skal derfor aktivt jobbe for reduksjon av militærstyrker, arrangering av fredskongresser, og nasjonenes forbrødring. Norge trenger et Fredsdepartement.
3. Få Norge ut av Nato. Nato truer Norges sikkerhet og er hovedårsaken til at faren for atomkrig og utslettelse av menneskeheten er større enn noen gang.
4. Få Norge til å ratifisere traktaten om forbud mot kjernevåpen.
5. Krigen i Ukraina har vist oss at fred og rettferdighet ikke kan oppnås med militær seier for Ukraina og Nato. FOR står i stedet for umiddelbar stans i alle norske våpenleveranser til krig med krav om våpenhvile og fredsforhandlinger. I stedet for å ekspandere Nato må de politiske og kulturelle rettighetene til borgerne i alle deler av Ukraina ivaretas.
6. FOR vil oppheve alle selvdestruktive eller inkonsekvente og urettferdige sanksjoner. FOR vil arbeide for at sanksjoner gjennom FN blir benyttet mot land som bryter folkeretten, men da ut fra like prinsipper og likebehandling uavhengig av om det er vestlige allierte eller rivaliserende stater som begår folkerettsbruddet.
7. Kreve at Israel opphever apartheid og gir alle like rettigheter. FOR støtter kampanjen for boikott, deinvestering og sanksjoner mot Israel inntil de illegale anneksjonene oppheves og apartheidsystemet avvikles fullt ut.
8. Norge skal være en rettsstat med demokrati, ytringsfrihet, pressefrihet og retten til å vite. Tross all retorikk i Vesten svikter dette så lenge Julian Assange er fengslet og Edward Snowden må være i eksil i Russland.
9. Rust opp velferden – ikke våpenlagrene. Vi vil gi gratis tannlege for voksne, gratis skolemat, sports- og kulturtilbud for barn fordi vi vil ruste ned militæret. De som vil ruste opp militært, vil derimot tilby «solidariske velferdskutt» i årene som kommer. Likebehandling uavhengig av opprinnelsesland.
10. Stans krigene, ikke krigsflyktningene. Flyktningene er resultatet av våre kriger. Vesten må stanse all destabilisering alle steder i verden, og heller gjenoppbygge ødelagt infrastruktur. Det vil stanse flyktningestrømmen.
11. Realistisk energipolitikk – stans elektrifisering av sokkelen og oljeleting i Arktis. Påstanden om at norsk olje er verdens reneste, er en løgn basert på den meningsløse ideen om å bruke verdifull vannkraft til å drifte oljeutvinning. Den siste olja må hentes opp i de fattigste landene i verden, de som aldri før har fått nyte godt av oljeinntekter, ikke i verdens rikeste land i verdens mest sårbare økosystem.
12. Ut av EØS. Sikre nasjonal selvbestemmelse, herunder innen finans. Reversere privatisering av helse- og transportsektoren.
13. Kamp mot sosial dumping. Arbeidssøkere fra alle land må likebehandles. Ingen særbehandling for EU-borgere. Arbeidsinnvandrere skal ha norske ansettelser og norsk tariff.
14. Fritid framfor forbruk. FOR vil utvide foreldrepermisjon til 2 år, innføre firedagers normalarbeidsuke og grunninntekt, en universell og ubetinget inntekt som gis til alle som skal dekke individets grunnleggende behov.

Peace and Justice (FOR Norway)
Principles adopted 21.5.2023
FOR is a political party. The greatest atrocities, loss of life, oppression and degradation occur during war. Therefore, FOR has the fight against war as its main purpose.
FOR is based on the ideals of the international labor movement which promotes the perspective of the oppressed, solidarity, equality, and the fight against war.
Along with the main purpose, FOR therefore has the following agenda:
1. FOR challenges the perception that we benefit when Norway and NATO go to war. FOR focuses on Norwegian and Western participation in wars, challenges the Norwegian and Western media’s portrayal of war, and highlights our responsibility for the wars. War does not only lead to thousands of dead soldiers and civilians. The material destruction of war and the loss of development opportunities lead to poverty and suffering. FOR’s anti-war work will lead to disarmament, détente, mutual security and reconciliation without military blocs.
2. FOR supports the purpose of the Nobel Peace Prize. As a nation of peace, Norway shall act in the spirit of the Peace Prize, not just hand it out. Norway must therefore actively work for the reduction of military forces, the organization of peace congresses, and the fraternization of nations. Norway needs a Ministry of Peace.
3. Get Norway out of NATO. NATO threatens Norway’s security and is the main reason why the danger of nuclear war and the annihilation of humanity is greater than ever.
4. Get Norway to ratify the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
5. The war in Ukraine has shown us that peace and justice cannot be achieved by military victory for Ukraine and NATO. FOR stands instead for an immediate halt to all Norwegian arms deliveries to war with demands for a ceasefire and peace negotiations. Instead of expanding NATO, the political and cultural rights of citizens in all parts of Ukraine must be safeguarded.
6. FOR will lift all self-destructive or inconsistent and unjust sanctions. FOR will work to ensure that sanctions through the UN are used against countries that violate international law, but on the basis of equal principles and equal treatment regardless of whether it is Western allies or rival states that commit violations of international law.
7. Demand that Israel abolish apartheid and give everyone equal rights. FOR supports the campaign for boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel until the illegal annexations are lifted and the apartheid system is fully dismantled.
8. Norway shall be a state governed by the rule of law with democracy, freedom of speech, freedom of the press and the right to know. Despite all the rhetoric in the West, this is non-existent as long as Julian Assange is imprisoned and Edward Snowden must remain in exile in Russia.
9. Build up welfare – not weapons stockpiles. We will provide free dental care for adults, free school meals, sports and cultural activities for children because we want to disarm the military. Those who want to upgrade the military, on the other hand, will offer «solidarity-based welfare cuts» in the years to come. Equal treatment of refugees regardless of country of origin.
10. Stop the wars, not the war refugees. Refugees are the result of our wars. The West must stop all destabilization everywhere in the world, and instead rebuild destroyed infrastructure. This will stop the flow of refugees.
11. Realistic energy policy – stop electrification of the shelf and oil exploration in the Arctic. The claim that Norwegian oil is the cleanest in the world is a lie based on the nonsensical idea of using valuable hydroelectric power to drive oil extraction. The last oil must be extracted in the poorest countries in the world, those that have never before benefited from oil revenues, not in the world’s richest countries in the world’s most vulnerable ecosystem.
12. Get Norway out of the EEA. Ensure national self-determination, including in finance. Reverse the privatization of the health and transport sectors.
13. Fight against social dumping. Job seekers from all countries must be treated equally. No special treatment for EU citizens. Immigrant workers must have Norwegian employment and Norwegian tariffs.
14. Leisure time rather than consumption. FOR will extend parental leave to two years, introduce a four-day work-week and a basic income, a universal and unconditional income that is given to everyone to cover the individual’s basic needs.
